PROFILE – PAUL SMITH – Senior Partner Paul Smith is the firm’s Senior Partner and has now practised in Chesham for over 30 years. Paul has a wide and varied experience of High Street practice but now specialises in criminal law and heads the firm’s criminal department. Paul has defended in very many high profile and serious cases but is equally comfortable looking after the run of the mill cases that come before the local Courts. Paul was appointed as a Duty Solicitor in 1984 when the Duty Solicitor Scheme was introduced and remains on the scheme working at the police Stations in Amersham, Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Hemel Hempstead as well as at Amersham, Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead and Watford Magistrates’ Courts. In his time in Chesham Paul has been Chairman of the local Citizens Advice Bureau, has been a School Governor and remains active in the Rotary Club.
