	HISTORY We pride ourselves on being able to offer public funding for those people who are financially eligible having successfully secured a Legal Services Commission contract in areas of both Family and Crime.  The practice was originally established in the early 1950’s and has operated as a typical High Street practice offering a general legal service to clients in the locality of Chesham and surrounding districts.  Paul Smith, the Senior partner joined the practice in the early 1970’s.  We can offer appointments in Aylesbury when necessary. We can be located next to Thomson holiday shop. Parking is nearby at the station car park. The client base has built up over the past 30 years through continued presence on the High Street in Chesham by recommendation from former clients and friends and via contacts with the local Citizen’s Advice Bureau.  We participate in the Police and Court duty solicitor schemes and offer 24 hour 7 days per week assistance by telephoning our emergency number as detailed on our answering service (telephone 01494 772773).    SERVICES AVAILABLE In addition to crime and family, we offer a referral service for conveyancing and probate department dedicated to providing an efficient service in both domestic and commercial matters. OUR PRACTICE CONSTITUTION The practice now comprises 2 partners, a trainee solicitor paralegal together with support staff, many of whom have dedicated themselves to the firm for over 20 years. We are able to offer advice to grandparents needing assistance with contact and other issues involving their grandchildren. COSTS We are happy to offer fixed fee appointments (ranging between £50 and £100 plus VAT. If you are eligable, we can provide free legal help. Our charging rates are competitive in todays market and we ensure estimates are given as to the likely final cost.
